Taste on Foveaux Street

Taste in Surry Hills is situated on the corner of Foveaux and Belmore Streets which was historically the rag trade end of Sydney. The restaurant was originally converted from a row of three clothing shops into a generous space offering up to 100 seating capacity.
The shop was designed with wide windows and doors opening to the streets to maximise ventilation on warm summer days. With banchett seating it reminisces back to days of Asian French colonialism.
The 'piece de resistance', one which is quite rare in a city setting, is the courtyard. It contains figurines and wall plaques sourced from South-East Asia with majestic black bamboo, unique ferns and flowering begonias. The trickling of the water fountain will transport you from the stress of city life to a more relaxed oasis. An ideal location for your next function.
